How fit do you need to be for a mountain biking holiday?
The use of ski lifts allows the average biker to participate in all of our tours and holidays
But to be sure to enjoy your entire holiday though, it's better to be a bit fit.
If you are used to mountain biking and have been participating in the sport for several years there should be no problems.
If not, we would advise you to engage in a small exercise regime to increase endurance and improve your technique for three weeks prior to departure. Ideally this should consist of biking three times per week on 30 / 40 kms rides on fairly rough terrain and preferably including technique based training, i.e. avoiding roots, steps, trees, etc. This would be a good place to start!
